In my lifetime I have been very fortunate to have had the opportunity to observe many animals in their natural habitat.  The Japanese brown bear is both intelligent and beautiful.  They are by far, the most interesting animals that I have been able to spend large amounts of time with.  I am grateful that there are a few dedicated people in Japan that are willing to do what it takes to protect and preserve these animals and their environment.  Lets keep them wild.
